Lesson #52:  You’re never given more than you can handle.

I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive going into this week.  Even with the 3-day weekend, I was concerned about the assignments due this week, the amount of work I had fallen behind in, my massive jungle of mess that was starting to take over my portion of the room, other errands that I hadn’t been able to get around to doing, etc.  I pulled out my planner and couldn’t seem to find enough hours in the week to catch up on all my stuff.  Just when I thought I’d have to make do with falling behind another week, I got an email from my supervisor at work saying that the rest of the week was optional for part-timers since the workload was pretty slow.  With the extra time, I’ve been able to clean my room, catch up on school work, catch up on other things (FAFSA, taxes, etc), catch up on sleep, and even catch up with some old friends.  :)

The lesson: You’re never given more than you can handle.  Stress will only get to you if you let it.  Do what you can, and the rest will fall into place one way or another.

Lesson #53:  “Anak, remember that God speaks to you through your experiences and your encounters with other people.  It’s not so much a matter of figuring out what you need to do, as it is figuring out what He’s trying to tell you.”  -Dad

Normally, I wouldn’t think much of something like this—I’d shake it off as a silly, far-fetched notion that would never materialize to anything significant.  But I can’t seem to shake off the fact that this isn’t the first (or second, or third) time someone has mentioned this to me.  I can’t help but feel like it could be more than just a coincidence…
